Hummingbirds' story
When I was walking out to the backyard. I heard a loud sound, it sounded like someone threw a rock at my window. I immediately walked outside to check. Then I saw these beautiful hummingbirds in my back, laying down on the ground.
The female hummingbird was not moving at all and the male hummingbird was trying to fly but he could not and he was walking in a circle.
I was in shock as I have never seen a hummingbird laying on the ground. I needed to pause because my human instincts wanted to do something immediately to help without asking any permission.
I slowly approached and sat next to them, then I asked them if they are willing to talk to me and see if they need my help.
The male hummingbird told me how they got a concussion and were feeling dizzy. He showed me how they were playing together and happened to slam into my windows, and they fell down to the ground.
I asked if I can offer a Reiki healing and bring a flower for them to get some sugar. He said yes.
So I started sending Reiki healing energy with love and healing intention.
After 10 minutes, the male flew out and told me thank you. He said he is going to wait for his sister to wake up.
Then again I asked the female hummingbird to see if she has enough strength to connect with me. She told me yes.
I asked her if she would allow me to pick her up so I can keep her warm. She told me yes. So I picked her up on my hand. Her head was still circling to the right. I was very present with her and just kept sending her a healing energy for another 10 minutes. Then I noticed she was able to lift her head up straight. Then right after, she flew away. Her brother was watching us by a garden wall. They flew away together safely and thanked me.
My deep connection with these hummingbirds taught me the importance of stillness practice and allowing them to consent to engage with me if they wished for a help from human.
